Overview of RAIQC
RAIQC is a cloud-based clinical simulation platform developed by radiologists at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are experienced in helping AI developers, researchers and academics generate clinical evidence for UK, FDA and EMA regulatory approvals and in supporting clinical adoption and ongoing monitoring of AI applications.
Our secure online platform hosts and displays DICOM scans simulating clinical practice and has facilitated validation studies for AI technologies across various imaging modalities, including chest X-rays, musculoskeletal X-rays, head CT, chest CT, spinal MRI, and prostate MRI. Moreover, we've provided extensive support for:
- Study design, analysis and write-up
- Data sourcing, annotation and expert ground truthing
- Sourcing radiologists and other clinicians for Multi-Reader Multi-Case studies
Our team comprises radiologists, trial scientists and experienced business and technology experts. This blend of clinical and academic expertise with extensive data access and a custom platform tailored for AI validation has resulted in studies being run more efficiently than traditional on-site approaches.
Using RAIQC to meet your goals
We deliver a cloud-based platform, accessible from anywhere in the world. It combines a zero footprint DICOM viewer with a reporting simulator, with responses tailored to your needs – from free text, through structured reporting to the marking of ROIs.
Our image viewer allows all major image manipulation tools in order to replicate functionality found in a regular reporting workstation.
- Scroll
- Zoom
- Panning
- Measurements
- Annotation
- Contouring
- MPR
Images can be viewed on multiple screens, again replicating a PACS workstation environment.
Tailoring the path followed by your readers or participants through your study ensures that they are clearly guided through your cases, maximising response validity. Metrics including time spent per case allow productivity improvements to be quantified.
Whatever the stage of your project, RAIQC can help
We can provide an “off-the-shelf”, self-managed solution for generating data, including ground truthing, human-AI concordance, tool validation and performance assessments.
If your needs are more expansive or nuanced, we also provide bespoke, full study management services, including study design, reader recruitment, study execution and statistical analysis.

Take part in research studies via RAIQC and receive compensation for your effort
Various organisations, both public and private, use RAIQC to conduct reader studies that involve image interpretation. These studies seek participants from a wide range of healthcare professions, including radiologists, radiographers, doctors, nurses, and advanced care practitioners.
As an online platform, RAIQC allows participants to take part in studies remotely, a convenience that also helps studies run more efficiently than traditional on-premises ones.
If you're interested in participating in these studies and receiving compensation for your contributions, please indicate your interest on your RAIQC profile page. We'll contact you if or when a study that matches your profile becomes available, informing you of all relevant details and the benefits of participating.
